I started a 12-Week Challenge with Ideal Bodies Online because my health and energy had spiralled into a rut and I know that IBO exercise and eating plans work! I successfully undertook a 12-week program with IBO several years ago. That was before pregnancy, reaching 92kg at one point and having injuries and a struggle with depression. I knew I couldn’t just jump back on my old program and that I needed a new one that suited me now. 

Despite working full-time, having a gorgeous toddler to chase around and starting with low energy, I found my program to be easy to follow with just a few adjustments to my day, a bit of preparation and a ‘just do it’ attitude. I asked for a ‘lifestyle’ program as opposed to a maximum weight loss program because my ultimate aim was to get healthy, fit and regain my energy and strength. I can hardly recognise the sad woman in the before photos compared to how I feel now. 
 
I feel like ‘me’ again and I actually look better than I did 3 years ago. 
 
When I’d tried to exercise through other methods since giving birth I constantly felt exhausted. The IBO program gave me short 25-30 minute work outs for the first 6 weeks, allowing me to build up my strength and fitness. I had a gym and home program for flexibility. I exercised mostly at home, at night during the week; after I’d put my daughter to bed and my partner made dinner so that I could get my workouts done (bless). I did most of my weekend workouts at the gym. 
 
 
 
To stick to my meal plans, I stayed in consistent routine (with slight variations) of what I ate but because I genuinely liked the food I was eating, I didn’t feel like I was on a diet and I continue on with the same meal plan now. 
 
I am a ‘convenience’ girl, so I had my cupboard, freezer and fridge filled mostly with portion-controlled, quick and easy ingredients that took only minutes to throw together.
 
Health-wise, my stomach muscle separation from pregnancy has repaired, the tendonitis in my shoulder is 90% better and the quality of sleep I am getting at night has improved so much I feel rested and recharged in the morning. My energy levels are 100% better and you can see that I am happier and healthier.
