I have always been fit (I am a runner) but have always struggled with the eating side of things. I am an all or nothing kinda girl!! I decided it was time to take charge!
I had put on a few kilos over Christmas and didn’t like the body I saw in the mirror.
When my husband got deployed to the Middle East for 7 months this year, I knew it was time to get my body into shape. With an absent husband, a full time job, a 2yo and a 5yo, I knew this would be a tough gig!!! I also knew that as long as I was determined and organised, I could do it.
There were times when it was difficult. I won’t lie… bad day at work, kids not sleeping, packing lunches, cleaning the house, working… it all got too much sometimes But if I had a bad day, I just picked myself back up and kept putting one foot in front of the other.
I am really happy with my results but I still have a long way to go. I even entered the Oxygen magazine cover girl comp! Something I would previously never even contemplated!!
