Heidi Moya: New Life - New Beginnings

Like too many others, my weight has been a problem from a very early age. When I reached 18, due to some happenings in my life, I decided to do something about it, so, slowly, started increasing my activity and modified my diet a little. Then, I came to Australia, and a new lifestyle, new opportunities did help me get to a very reasonable weight, for which I was happy (65 kg) but not satisfied. I was able to maintain that weight without effort for a few years. I was just living and enjoying life and everything was great.

4 years ago, everything changed...

The loss of my father and other events, made me not want to enjoy life as much and slowly I stopped socializing. I lost control in terms of what I was eating and felt very frustrated that all my efforts at the gym weren’t paying off.

Then, 3 months ago (after trying innumerable types of weight loss fads) I came across body blitz, and saw that the body blitz winner had used the help of Ideal Bodies Online. Quickly I went to see what it was about. It sounded perfect and realistic! I don’t eat much junk food and love to exercise, but I have always approached training and nutrition blindly, never knowing what was best for me and always having troubles with what to eat and when and how much. So, after a couple of days of deliberation I decided to join.

I embraced it from the beginning... and followed it as closely as I could. Read as many articles and went through out the forum trying to see what other people were going through, to prepare myself to what was to come. But surprisingly it wasn’t difficult to adjust.

The hardest thing was to learn to plan in advance and also to allow myself to have a slip up here and there (I had 2 hens nights, 2 weddings and 3 birthdays within 4 weeks) and picked my self up and moved on instead of beating myself up!

Even though I haven’t reached my goal weight, this new lifestyle has given me the strength to continue, seeing that the results are achievable and that I really can do this!


Heidi's Success tips:

  • Plan! Plan! Plan!
  • Be forgiving to yourself. If you miss a work out, don’t worry, make up for it the next day by getting straight back on track!
  • Make sure you let people know about your change in lifestyle.
  • Visualization and affirmations.

I have made myself I little wallpaper for my mobile phone, so that I can see it everyday to remind my self of what my goals are, just in case I feel low and get side tracked, and even if I don’t, I always see it anyway. This wallpaper contains an image of a body shape for which I am aiming for and also I wrote on it things like:

  • I’m lean
  • I’m healthy
  • I’m toned
  • I weigh 57 kilos

 


Supplements I use:

  • Glutamine
  • Durathon
  • Multivitamins
  • Fish Oil
  • MRM meta meal

Favorite recipes:

Breaky: 1 egg + 3 egg whites scrambled with a touch of coriander and spring onions accompanied with 2  slices of whole meal/grain bread with Almond spread (if allowed)

Mid-Afternoon: 6 egg whites, 1 tsp of your favorite sweetener (I particularly like xylitol), a bit of cinnamon and half a teaspoon of vanilla extract, 10 half walnuts cut very small. You can make 3 crepes. One by one on a non-stick pan lightly sprayed with oil. Then eat with sugar free maple syrup!
