When I signed up for the contest on FitnessRX I honestly didn’t think much about it. I usually never win anything. I was so happy to hear that I was one of the three winners!
I decided when I won the contest that I would be dedicated and stick to this program for the 12 weeks and see if I could see a difference. I have always read that when working out it takes 4 weeks for you to notice, 8 weeks for your family and friends to notice, and 12 weeks for everyone else to notice. This is so true! My husband has been very supportive and by my side the whole way. He was continually telling me that he could see the changes and complimenting me, then my family starting noticing and pretty soon people at the gym started telling me they could see the difference. It so nice to have supportive friends and family – that really kept me going.
I have always been active and pretty regular in the gym. I would work out about 5 days a week but I never really had a set workout plan and really never pushed myself to see what I could do. However, diet was my biggest downfall. I would eat pretty healthily most of the week. When Saturday and Sunday came it was cheat day or actually cheat weekend!!! I would have to start over every Monday because I would eat so bad on the weekend and any accomplishments I’d made through the week were gone. If we had a vacation or special event that I needed to lose weight for I would crash diet for a few weeks and drop a few pounds. As usual I would binge afterward and usually gain back more than when I started.
Once I started with Ideal Bodies Online my biggest fear was that I would only have a limited amount of calories per day and I would end up starving. However, that was NOT the case! I started eating the right food in the right amounts at the right time according to my workout. The first week I thought it would be too much to handle trying to measure or weigh, and eat on time. But I quickly learned my portion sizes after the first couple of weeks and didn’t have to measure and weigh my food constantly.
Within a few weeks I was forming a routine and was seeing results quickly! The weight training was challenging but I was able to do everything. With the help of my coach Hilary Hudson (who is awesome) and the easy access to example videos I had no problem figuring out what to do in the gym.
My daughter is a fitness competitor and a mother of three. She is one of my biggest motivators for working out. I have been training with her off and on for almost two years but due to my diet and not being held accountable for progress I never came close to seeing the results she did. Once I started with the girls at Ideal Bodies online and knew I would be sending my weight and measurements it really helped to keep me on track.
After my 6th week I started seeing big changes in my body. Not only was I losing weight and inches, I was gaining muscle. My biggest accomplishment is that I can actually see my abs. That is something I have tried for years to accomplish and I am finally having success with Ideal Bodies Online!
I had a great time during my photo session for the after pics!!! I have never been confident enough to pose for pics nor especially the confidence to post them afterward. I was overwhelmed with the response from friends and family and complete strangers after posting my first pic! My coach Hilary had me totally prepared for the photo shoot – it was an awesome day and I have Ideal Bodies Online to thank for that!
At 45 years old I feel better than I did 20 years ago! I still have a ways to go but I am excited about continuing on my next 6 weeks with Ideal Bodies Online. I encourage everyone to give them a try – it really works!
