“… I had plateaued for quite some time, maybe even years with my weight and fitness. I was doing all this training and nothing to show.

“Well, here I am at 43 with 5 children, 2 grandchildren and sadly, recently parentless.

I did this same challenge 16 months ago with fantastic results. But with the grief of losing my Mother to cancer 13 months ago, which was shortly after losing Dad to cancer, I went back to old eating patterns, had 3 months off the gym and numbed the loss of my pain with a few glasses of wine more often than was good for me.

I had to do something to pull myself out of my self-destruction and the best thing to do was regain my health and body…

For about 18 years I have toyed with the idea that I might enter a figure competition. In 2012 I am making a public commitment to follow that through.

I have come this far and it is my intention to continue to follow my eating plan and training and take this to the next level.

It was just time... Time to get healthy, happy and like me for me! After having three children (aged 5 years, 3 years and four months) in five years I was aching to get my body back in shape.

Little did I realize that not only did I get leaner, fitter and stronger but I was happier, more confident and had masses of energy. It was not easy, but once committed I was focused and was adamant that I was going to give it my best shot. Having to be accountable to my Feedback Coach was an essential aspect to my success...

The hardest thing is to make time for exercise a priority. Yes, I could do it at home, take the kids for a walk in the pram but I needed to make my time work efficiently. So I looked at going to the gym as an appointment-so if I had to go for coffee with girlfriends then it would be after the gym or another time. I have crèche available at my gym which is fantastic as I have no family in my town who can help me out.

After having my second child & moving over to Australia I was too busy looking after the kids to think about my health. I had entered a few 12 week challenges before but only lasted a few weeks.

I always had an excuse to give up!

After reading a lot of motivation articles before I started the challenge I knew this time I had no excuses not to complete the challenge.

I was breastfeeding my 6 month old & hadn't done any exercise in over a year so I knew I wouldn't be able to do it on my own.

I decided to join Ideal Bodies Online as I had no idea where to start.
