  • These sound great but I was wondering if these bars can be baked, as I don’t like the texture of raw bars. Would baking affect the protein.

    • Hi Sandra. I’ll do a post about that. Basically it can ‘denature’ it, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad thing.

  • You may not be able to mention brands, but where do you get ‘unsweetened almond milk ‘ from??

I have never found it yet – looking in supermarkets and Health food stores. I figure it must exist as I see it in recipes, but have not managed to find it as yet.

    • I actually make my own – it’s really easy. I’ll also do a post about that too. But I do believe you can buy unsweetened almond milk, you just need to read labels.

  • Sue,
Blue diamond makes it. I find it in both the milk case and in where either the cereal/ granola bar or juice/drinks aisle

  • Hello Sue, I just made the Choc-Almond protein bars. The are devine, I almost felt guilty eating a piece. They were so easy to make. I cut mine into 12 pieces and I’ll share with my friends. Thanks for the recipe

  • You can make almond milk by blending raw almonds with water, then you just sieve out the almond bits. Or, you can buy almond milk in the UHT milk section at the supermarket; it is a little pricey at around $5 a litre though.
