Wow. What happened to the last few months?? Our gorgeous Kyah is almost 4 months old now and she has grown up quickly! She’s babbling away and cackling, and learning to roll over and even hold her bottle! I had a computer meltdown about a month ago, and, because I had not backed up since early October before Kyah was born, I lost 3 months of work Hey who thinks about backups when you have a newborn! Anyway, it took me 2 weeks to get a new computer, and another week to get all set up and whatnot. So, I have a brand spanking new one now and I didn’t lose a whole lot of stuff – but I did lose the photos I had resized of Kyah (lucky all are still on my camera), and everyone’s email addresses.
So I haven’t got around to resizing all my photos again but I do have these ones taken a couple of weeks ago. Tomorrow she is having some professional ones taken by Kidzshots (sp?), here at home so I look forward to that!
She is a good little girl, very content and happy now. She sleeps well, but not yet right through the night. We put her to bed at 7 and give her a dream feed at about 10.30pm, and then she will usually wake anytime between 3 and 5 for another feed. I have real trouble getting back to sleep after this feed because she tends to stay awake for a while and babble away to herself! Damien and I are both getting enough sleep most nights as he does the night feeds and I do the morning one while he sleeps in.
We have found a great carer for her, and she goes there 3 days a week now which allows me to get some work done. Now that I have this computer under control I should be able to get ahead!
I am back at the gym, albeit inconsistently. I have just started to get some strength back and now that I am not getting lightheaded all the time, I am enjoying it a bit more. I have lost all my 16kg of baby weight, and am pretty much fitting back into all my pre baby clothes.
So, all in all, it’s wonderful. The first probably 8 weeks are a bit of a whirlwind and sometimes you wonder if and how you will cope, but you do, and when they get older and start to interact, it’s just awesome.
Kyah is such a ‘hot’ baby. Even when it’s cooler she just does not feel the cold and ends up in a sweat just laying on her play mat tapping away at her toys! Our carer said she has never seen such a hot little bub. We didn’t need to buy clothes for her – she lives in a singlet and nappy!
Anyway it has taken me 3 days to write this blog, and before that 3 months I hope to be back a lot sooner for the next installment.
Hope everyone is wonderful – now I will get back to my inbox
