Kyah Savannah Heintze has arrived!

After a 19 hour labour, our gorgeous daughter finally entered the world. While labour was excruciating (that’s an understatement), what a beautiful gift at the end of it all! She is simply perfect.

I’m actually crying in this one, a mixture of relief, joy and disbelief. There were some complications with the birth and with bub initially, but all seems good now. More detail later :)

And the wait continues…

I’m 2 days overdue now and I’m sort of at the point where I am just forgetting about the baby ever coming out!  Obviously I’m aware that many first pregnancies are overdue, but now I just get up in the morning and go about things like it’s not even about to happen. Well as much as I can in this condition. Let me tell you, even moving is difficult now. I have constant belly and pelvic pressure, with lots of little twinges and stabbing pains in the you know what.

We went for a walk before because it’s such an awesome day, and I had Braxton Hicks contractions and aches and pains the whole way. But, things must be closed for business at this stage of proceedings. No sign of a show either. I’m back to the OB tomorrow already!  I had a scan last week – he predicted bub was about 7.5lb at that stage. Hoping he/she doesn’t get too much bigger!

Fluid retention has improved a lot, and my weight has dropped to under 150lb now.  So that’s 15.6kg in total so far. I’m pretty happy with that.

I’ve been making sure to wear my Belly Bra a lot lately, with all the pressure in my belly it really helps to support it, whether out walking or sleeping.

Speaking of, I think it’s time for an afternoon nap after I have a bite to eat. I just cooked up some asparagus that mum picked for me, as well as some baked sweet potato.  Had one of our Lemon Maple Smooth-ie’s before too, so refreshing, cleansing and good for you!

Thank you as always for the lovely messages, it’s very humbling to know there are so many of my friends, acquaintences and clients who are interested in the birth of my baby. For those who asked for my address here it is:

PO Box 321, Mildura, 3502.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. For me, the weather is too nice to go to hospital today anyway :) We’re going down by the river for fish ‘n chips tonight.

Wow, I’m almost there

Less than a week to go! I’m silently sh*tting myself but I’m very excited about the whole thing at the same time.

This has been an odd week, I’m definitely feeling very lethargic now, my sleeping is a bit chaotic, getting between 3 and 4 hours before I am up at hours like 3 or 4am. Then I go back to bed for an hour or two later in the morning. Nausea is pretty yukky, just makes me feel bleh.

Thursday bub was very very active, it was driving me nuts along with stacks of Braxton Hicks contractions which are now getting slightly uncomfortable because it’s so tight in there. A few weird pains and things here and there too and a slightly achy low back. Yesterday practically nothing, and same today – it made me go up to the hossie actually because I hadn’t been feeling bub move much which was unusual. That was today, and so they put a trace on me and everything was fine. In fact they said it was a ‘perfect’ trace. Heartbeat nice and strong, moving a lot even though I am not feeling it, and she also said my tightenings were really strong and that she didn’t think I would be going too far over my due date. Not that she would really know of course but at least that made me feel better.

So tonight I am having a few more BH’s. I layed down before and went to sleep for an hour, then felt terrible when I woke up so had spa no. 2 for the day. That spa has been a godsend throughout my pregancy - I’m lovin’ it to bits.

I’ve been working frantically still – projects on the go so trying to get as much done as I can. Really excited about the new 7 Day Cellulite Solution program we are working on.  We’re doing a trial run soon and will iron out any issues there. Just takes a lot of time to organise but Kristin and I make a mean team :)

Lots of people have asked me if I’ve had any cravings with my pregancy. Can’t say I truly have, apart from one thing – oranges. Loving oranges all the way through and yet I rarely ever eat them otherwise. So that’s a bit weird.

Ok well time to go veg on the couch with my feet up. I’m hoping that I last until at least Thursday as I have a few things I need to get done before then :) LOL!

Oh and thanks to everyone who left me comments about what sex they think my bub will be. It won’t be long before all will be revealed. Personally I have no idea but just have a feeling it will be a girl. Don’t know why.

18 days to go – nearly there!

I’m still trying to come to terms with the fact I will be delivering a live (well I certainly hope so) baby in the next few weeks. My tummy is exploding in these last few weeks and I am very uncomfortable now! Bub doesn’t have a whole lot of room in there anymore.

Today I had my 37 weeks appointment which went the same as usual – feel the tummy, and pay $70. All good that there are no problems of course.  My blood pressure has remained low right through – today, 102/60. Not bad for an old broad in her first pregnancy!

Doc reckons my baby is about 7 lb – I hate to think of the size of it if I go over my due date. At this stage of the game, baby puts on 30g of fat each and every day. Above is my tummy last week – I’m sure it’s grown even more now.

Still very swollen feet and ankle bones despite putting them up as often as possible. Still numb, tingly hands though they have improved by massage. I swear by massage – I’m now having a full body massage every week. My lower back is always very tight which is not surprising in the least.  But even to date, I still have had no back pain which I put down to my fitness background, massage, chiropractic and pilates.

I’m sleeping pretty good, most nights I don’t even have to get up to go to the loo which is surprising because when I am awake I am going every 5 mins.

I’m busy trying to get everything up to speed for my new website – yes that’s correct, new website. We have a brand new range of instant programs coming out very soon and these will have their own site.  Be on the lookout for Body Blitz Blueprint for Fat Loss! I’ll be sending out an email or two when we are launching the new range. Along with that, my Motivation Magnified – Win the Mental Game of Fat Loss will also be released. I’ve had excellent feedback on it, and I believe it’s something that is severely lacking in the fitness and weight loss industry at present. So, if you are one of those people who (like most of us) struggle to finish what you start, this book is for you!

The last couple of days have been awesome weather wise – such a different feel when the sun is out! I hope everyone is enjoying it!

So, does anyone care to make a prediction on what gender my bub will be, based on my tummy pic? :)
