How much fruit can one eat in a day?

Yesterday we had our spa treatment which was heavenly. Though afterwards I really felt quite ill – I think all that massaging and stuff really stirred things up and made me feel very off. Oh I got sucked in big time too, after my treatment they applied a light make up using Jane Iredale mineral makeup. I decided to buy the pressed powder and a brush to go with it as I’ve never used mineral make up and it looked nice and natural. I just said yep I will have one of those and a brush thanks. Ah hem – $168 thank you very much! The damn brush was $83! WTF?? I know I could have gotten it for at least half that on the net. Next time.

Anyway today I felt good, really good. I swear the morning sickness pills are working. However, now Damien appears to be getting the flu! We can’t win! And the weather is still shit. I only had one sleep today, about half hour.

I never realised how good fruit really tastes. I found some big juicy white peaches in the IGA here and I have been eating 3 a day! And today at Eumundi I bought a pineapple, which happens to be the best pineapple I have ever tasted. And 3 mangoes. I figure surely it can’t hurt if I eat lots of fruit. However, I am also eating lots of cheese. I have a thing for sandwiches at the moment. Ham, cheese, tomato and lettuce on wholemeal multigrain. I also bought some home made butter at the market, oops, and some big muffins – ginger and banana, and feta and pumpkin. Oh and some coffee and walnut greek yoghurt, yum. Tomorrow we are going to the Farmer’s Market – probably much of the same stuff but I will get some more muffins and perhaps another pineapple!

Pic is from the photo shoot I did a week and a half ago.  7 1/2 weeks and I thought I should wear a bit of a loose fitting top :)   We are sitting here deciding what to have for dinner.  Neither of us are particularly hungry, me because I eat all day long and only have room for little bits at a time, and Damo coz he’s sick.  I feel like a couple of steamed dimmies hehe.

  • You look absolutely sensational Sue!

  • Congratulations! They do have the best and sweetest pineapples up that way!

  • So HAWT right now :)

  • Lovely pics Sue – that top is so cute! I had to laugh about your pineapple fetish. I developed one for pineapples (and later on after the squeamish phase, for avocado too) in my first pregnancy. I just really REALLY liked them and couldn’t walk past one at the shops without buying it. I was even known to have a few on my kitchen benchtop at any one time in various stages of ripeness. Luckily I spent some time in Thailand at that stage so I was in pineapple heaven. I later read that both of these food are great during pregnancy (avocado for obvious reasons, pineapple I can’t remember why now).

Hey Sue, congrats on the news (I’ve been away and just heard, to Mildura actually) it is such an exciting time. Lap it up and enjoy.

I had a fetish for mango and salad sandwiches and went off coffee and chocolate!

It must be girl they say girls are fighters and you tend to get more morning sickness…Good luck with the rest of pregnancy.

  • You look amazing Sue and I’m sure you need all that fruit. Just let you in on a secret – my sister and best friend both craved fresh fruit through their pregnancies and they both had girls hmm….?? Whereas I craved protein, and couldn’t get enough eggs and I had a boy.

Also, I purchased Jane Iredale makeup for $86 at my local spa then realsied I could buy teh same product of ebay usa for around $30 AUD so I suggest you look around next time!
