Yes I know…

It’s been a long time again!  I’m in Melbourne – heading home today.  It couldn’t have been a more disastrous weekend actually.   The best part of it was wandering around St Kilda beach on a gorgeous day, and having lunch in the sun at the Stokehouse (I won’t mention the oysters that cost me $48!! WTF?).

So, I won’t go into details but basically it was a big waste of time and money.  It’s a joke really.  Well, if you didn’t laugh you’d cry that’s for sure.

Just been for a bit of a walk around the city and going to head back to Rebel Sport with my purse.  Need some new weight training gloves and I found a nice workout top.  Now I’m 40 I don’t like to wear crop tops anymore – I look for nice long comfy workout tops!

Anyway, I better take a shower and check out.

Ok, well I never even got around to sending that!  Back home now, in fact, back home to find 80 cartons of sugar free maple syrup dumped on my front lawn.  WTF?  I cannot believe they just left it there without anyone signing for it!  What if I was gone for a month!  So, those of you who have been waiting patiently (thank you) for your syrup, it will be on the way either in today’s post, or tomorrow’s.

I hadn’t trained since Thursday – just back from a 2 hour session at the gym.  Yes, 2 hours.  I’m usually outta there in half hour to 40 mins so it’s a bit of a shock to the system.  New program involved a bit of learning and note reading so once I have the mobility/dynamic exercise drills down it will be quicker.  Plus I chatted a bit which I don’t usually do.  I felt like a complete novice today.  I have lost a lot of core strength, and feel very weak doing these mobility/dynamic exercises.  But I can only improve!  And so too will my injury niggles no doubt.

Damien has started his own 12 week challenge – he was approached to enter a local challenge to raise money for SRS.  He’s not that keen on exercise at the moment and so he told me his way of getting motivated every day to do some is to always remember ‘exercise is better than going to war’!  LOL!!!  I think there’s something in that for all of us…hehehe!

On that note, I need to do a bit more work.

  • Hi Sue, I’m in the same situation as you. Bit of a mental challenge to do my first workout. I’m sure I’ll get better with practice. Cheers, Charlotte
