Of my brand new website will take place today! How exciting! I’d love you to take a look and give me your feedback. I am not sure what time it will be going live, but it will be sometime today (apparently!). There will still be a few odds and ends to fix up after it’s launched but I wanted to get it done by tomorrow. We can work on those things later.
So, I’ve been in the thriving metropolis of Swan Hill. Actually it’s not too bad I suppose. Drove the 2 or so hours here on Saturday arvo pretty easy, and went to Thai for dinner. Java Spice, the restaurant was unbelievable. No room inside (too popular) so we had to sit out in these huts which were awesome, but it was really cold which was the only downer. One heater in the corner didn’t quite cut it, but it was bearable. There were lots of cushions so I used them to my advantage. I had a really lovely red curry duck dish.
Motel room is a bit pokey, and of course no cooking facilities. So what do I do in these situations? I brought a little esky with me with some cottage cheese and strawberries in it, to get me through breaky the next day. I also brought some walnuts and some oats and rice flakes. So, when I got up on Sunday we were not liking our chances of finding a good coffee. Kerry M already recommended me the best place to go but Damien said it was closed when we drove by it (later to find out it was not closed at all, grrrrrrrrr). He obviously had a man’s look. So we found this other place and it was one of those places you know immediately you are not getting good coffee here. It was one of the worst I’ve had. I even ordered a 2nd one with a double shot, hoping it would be better but no, it was terrible. Still like dirty dish water. I should have brought our coffee machine with me. So after that I went for a 50 min walk and sussed out the supermarkets and also found Kerry’s shop. I had my cc and strawbs when I got home, and also asked at reception if they had a microwave we could borrow. Dinner solved. A few hours later a low carb protein bar and some walnuts. Dinner was Lean Cuisines, much to Damien’s delight, not! Mine was a chicken risotto with extra veggies (steam fresh peas, corn, beans, broc) and added cottage cheese to increase the protein amount. So, that’s how I manage when I have very few facilities. We even had to eat with teaspoons! No excuses for eating crappy food no matter where you are.
I’m going home today, a day early. Been having trouble with my net connection, but am working around it, but the emails are piling up a bit. I went to the gym yesterday here, did a leg workout. It is not a bad gym. I think I need a bit longer between leg sessions as they were feeling rather fatigued, but, I did have a good session nonetheless. I had a terrible sleep last night – I think it was the coffee I had at 3pm, before I went to the gym. Possibly managed 3-4 hours. Feel ok at the moment, think I will head home while I feel ok.
Ok folks, time to hit the road.
