Sneak preview

Here’s one of the shots from my photo shoot, with a little story written by Ian, one of the ‘magician’s’ at Excitations photography.  Like he mentions in his rather amusing blog post (link below), we go back a long way but the thing I remember about the first shoot was not so much the bikini, umbrella and sand dunes, but more lying on the floor having water dripped all over me.  Something about the artistic effect of the water droplets on my skin.  It wasn’t comfortable!  But, Robyn and Ian do an amazing job as you can see by the photos posted on their site, and on Ian’s blog.  I haven’t received my pics yet, but looks like they may be done so I will shoot Ian an email soon!

And yes, I really did take to this dress with some scissors.

I have enough volunteers now, and update

Big PudIn Noosa

Thank you – I have more than anticipated.  I will be in touch with those who applied in the next few days.  I will be following the diet too.  It’s different to what I’m used to for sure.

As for my training, well I finally got back into the gym on Tuesday.  So it took me a week to get over my troubles and I am feeling decidedly more normal now, though I am very tired still.  Got to go pick up some blood test forms and will have my iron levels done in the morning.  Damo and I have been doing either a walk or training in the morning, and it’s good so far.  Tuesday was lower body, and boy was I feeling rather unfit.  I probably have not done a decent hard workout since my comp with all this stuff going on, but even so it’s really frustrating!  I didn’t push it too hard either but my poor old legs were shaking and carrying on!  Needless to say I am a bit sore!  Today we trained at 8am and had the gym to ourselves.  I did upper body, pulldowns, wide and close, smith incline press, rear delt pull throughs, db flys and pushups, and just 2 sets of side delt raises, biceps curls and overhead tri extensions.  And 2 sets on the ab wheel, another indicator my strength and fitness levels have gone to the dogs!  But, I shall be back in no time.  Going to pull out my old 4 day split program and get stuck into that on the weekend.

Something cheered me up yesterday was finally going to choose my professional photos.  I managed to cut it down to 29 pics out of about 130 or something.  Some I just didn’t like at all, but some were great and a few I really love.  I will share when I get them!  I wasn’t sure if I’d feel cheered up or depressed after seeing how good I looked just a couple of short months ago!  LOL!  I have some others to choose too, from the other shoot I did.

I booked in for a microdermabrasion this arvy, looking forward to that – my skin has been really crappy the last few weeks, no doubt hormonal and also the cold weather doesn’t help my dry skin.

Well I thought I might trundle off for a walk/jog in a moment – I just woke up from a (nearly) 2 hour sleep.  I don’t get a lot done when I have sleeps like that in the day!  I must need it obviously.   I got about 6 hours last night, woke at 5.30am, so not quite enough for me.

Attached a couple of pics, just Damien and I out for dinner on Hastings Street in Noosa on our recent week off, and, my Big Pud, using my keyboard as a pillow.

Looking for diet volunteers

I’m looking for 10 women to volunteer to be part of a diet project I’m working on.  It will involve signing the usual indemnity form, providing initial measurements and stats (including photos – these are confidential), keeping a private blog account of your progress and following this particular diet for 12 continuous weeks.

I am looking for a variety of volunteers – those who don’t have a lot of weight to lose (but do have some) right through to those who are significantly overweight.  You must be willing to weight train and perform cardio, but you will be responsible for providing your own programs for these.  You must also be committed to following the program for 12 weeks.

The diet will involve following particular rules with regard to meal timing, meal size, etc.  You will be guided as to what sort of foods to eat rather than being told exactly what to eat.

 It is not suitable for:

Diabetics

Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding

Bodybuilders (competitive)

Those who need to gain muscle

Trainees training (weights/cardio) an average of more than once per day

 It is particularly suitable for:

Those who want to lose weight/body fat

Those who have limited time

Those who are prone to fatigue

Those who experience hormonal issues such as thyroid problems

If you are interested please email me at sue@idealbodiesonline.com with ‘Interested in volunteering for diet project’ in the subject line.  In the body of the email please provide:

I will contact you in due course after receiving your application.

Thanks – you are all just lovely :)

I am starting to get on top of things now.  I wrote the post below mainly to remind myself in this difficult time, as opposed to berating others for not looking after themselves, but, if you got something out of it, all good :)   I apologise for not getting back to each person individually, I’m just trying to cope with what’s on my plate at the moment but I do indeed thank you all for your kind emails and messages – it does make things easier knowing you have support, even from people you don’t know!
