A few more pics from Sunday. You will probably be way sick of these pretty soon! My favourite so far is the Front DB Biceps pic taken by Kathy. If you want to see a larger image of the thumbnails just click.

Yes, it’s been 4 years! Damien says it feels like 40
It’s a little nicer day than it was back then. It was freezing!
We will go out for dinner tonight somewhere, probably first time in the whole 4 years I haven’t been dieting for a comp!
Training today, have figured out a new program for me – 3 x week, that will be different
Plus a circuit day which will be tough. I have a few more pics from the comp, will post later.
Thanks so much everyone! I have tried to get back to most people, I’m sure I have missed some but I’m just a bit snowed under trying to catch up since getting back yesterday. We are SO busy, my birthday special went off its tree!
I am back to a much more normal diet today which feels a lot better on the old tum tum. Cc and oats for breaky, Low Carb protein and raspberries with natural yoghurt and LSA for snack, cc and rice cakes, then more LC protein and raspberries and yoghurt after training, and just finished some Portugese chicken with sweet potato and beans and spinach. I decided my body felt like it needed a light full body workout so I did a half hour session. Nothing too strenuous, just keep the muscles ticking over.
I found out I won my class easily which was great to hear, but there were only 2 points separating the other 2 girls.
Anyway, I won’t ramble on much as I want to go down and relax. Have had a big day of work, getting up at 5.30am.
I will post a few more pics up – I don’t have a lot to be honest (lucky you).
Well what a day it turned out to be! As you may (or may not) be aware, from threads on the forum and other’s blogs (Carolyn, thank you!), I am so pleased to report that I won my comp yesterday. It was a very close class, and I had some great competition so I am very rapt with that result. I also had to contend the Overall title and this was awarded to the Open class winner. I was however pretty pleased as I measured up ok I think – pic of back double biceps is the overall line up – Novice, Intermediate and Open class winners (in that order).
It was a small show, but the standard was quite high. In my class there were 3 competitors, same for Open and there were 4 in Novice (Nadia’s class). There was a 52 yo lady in mine, who looked amazing. She had veins all over her abs. I will be interested to see how close it was if I can – apparently it was close according to the compere. When we were doing our compulsory poses both times when we did our back double biceps the compere commented about the level of muscularity in all competitors He also said we all had great calves! We went through compulsories twice, and we had to swap places to do so. I was so excited to hear my number NOT called out for 2nd place, it’s a special feeling and hard to describe. I think I did a really good job on my routine, I was not nervous in the slightest and just thought ‘go out there and have some fun!’ so I tried to do that. I lost my balance at one point and did wobble a bit, but oh well.
I had a really great time. Kathy was a wonderful helper and I thank her profusely for being there for me all day. Doing the show with Nadia was fantastic, we all had a really fun time. Nadia placed 3rd in her class but quite a few people (more than I can count on my fingers!!) feel she was a bit unlucky not to have placed higher. Go Nadia, I’m so proud of what you have achieved. Nadia is now an Ideal Bodies Online team member, and will start Feedback Coaching very soon. I’m so glad to have her on board, her recent comp experience will be of great benefit to our clients because as we know, success is more about the mental aspect rather than the physical.
Nadia wanted some feedback at the end as we weren’t sure where she went wrong. The judge we saw had her placed 2nd, and said she had the most muscularity of all. So we didn’t really get anything to go on from there but I have since spoken to someone else who gave me some more info which I will pass on to Nadia. Basically though he said she has a great future in the sport if she chooses to continue as she has a great muscular base. The lady we spoke to had notes against every competitor. When I looked at what she wrote against my name I had to laugh – “fresh, young and attractive”. LOL!!
So, as far as food goes – I ate sweet stuff all day so was pretty over that by the end. I was dying of thirst, that has to be the worst thing of all. I skulled a Gatorade afterwards, more water, and a lemonade and nothing much came out of me – my body is holding onto it all! We went home and I put baby oil all over me and soaped up and got most of the Dream Tan off. The shower looked like an accident scene. I then got changed and put some perfume on and moisturizer and felt normal again! We went to Scuzi in Rundle Street with Nadia and her ‘entourage’! It was great. I had 2 bits of Damo’s pizza, and we shared a pasta. I really was not hungry and I felt a bit dodgy so I had to be careful. I did buy a cake to take home as it was some coffee thing that I just couldn’t resist! Nadia what cake did you end up getting?
Just before bed I got a phone call. It was about 10.30pm and when it rang I said ‘whoever that is I am not talking to them’ as I was just buggered. But, it was Wayne McDonald, how could I not pick up! I had only caught up with him briefly at the show and did not get a chance for a decent chat. I was so glad I answered the call because he had me in stitches – as he usually does. He was driving to Hamilton and expected to get there around 3am. He asked me what I had to drink (I didn’t realize he was referring to alcohol) and went through the Gatorade, water, lemonade thing. He said well he was glad he didn’t hang around to go out with me! I said if he did, he would probably have been at Hamilton already!
I am in the car travelling home now, about an hour to go. I am so so so tired. I crashed last night but again was unable to sleep. Was still awake at 2.30am. I got up and had some MORE chocolate, some cottage cheese and peanut butter. I did sleep after that. I had my oats and cc for breaky and now just polished off a half a bbq chook on the way home for lunch. That REALLY hit the spot. I will be back training tomorrow, and will go shopping and get my usual supply of healthy foods and get back on my game.
I have so many emails and texts to answer – thanks so much everyone, you are all superstars and it has been wonderful to receive your support. While driving home and I uploaded some pics and will display over the next few days. Maybe I should put on Facebook too.
Thanks guys for all the wonderful support. Keep it coming ploise!! I have received some wonderful emails, they make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Here is one from my lovely Kristin, who has been an amazing woman looking after our clients while I have been training and stuff. She’s such an asset to us, where would I be without her to rely on!
Morning Sue!
xoxo
And then from the gorgeous Lizzy (Liz Bickerton) the current Body Blitz Grand Champ and one of our Personal Success Mentor’s:
Hi Sue,
How’s things? I’ve had a little look at your blog again the other day – sounds like you’ve been doing it pretty tough? Well I hope you’ve gotten through this week OK…only 2 more days to go!! Bet you can’t wait. You’re truly amazing Sue.
So, wishing you all the luck in the world on Sunday – although you won’t need luck with all the hard work you’ve done. But I hope everything goes beautifully for you. And I hope you have a very well earned rest afterward. Thinking of you.
And – a very belated HAPPY 40th!!! I’m so sorry I missed it. I hope you had a special day. I guess you’ll get to truly celebrate after this weekend!
Good luck once again!! Liz xx
Thanks girls. And for all the messages on my blog and emails and texts.

Now back to business! I am feeling really good, nice and dry, and managed to reach 105lb as of this morning. I had cake last night
Apple baked cheesecake with walnuts and cream – it was melt in the mouth. I’d had enough after half of it, but I thought my body needed it all
Of course I felt sick afterwards, but only for a short time. Followed that with a glass of nice red though as you can imagine it didn’t go too well with the cheesecake! We went out for awhile and so when I came back I got all my food ready for today – I did have a pre-taste (just to make sure it wasn’t off or anything – LOL!!) of the peanut butter, marshmellow, Cluster mix. All good.
Well I’m waiting for Damo to get up so I can start my Dream Tan. I’ve had my coffee so I’m right. I slept pretty good last night thankfully, would have had almost 8 hours I think. Much needed!
So I feel pretty ready – though I feel my tan has worn off quite a bit, I don’t really even feel that freaky brown. And, my hair is a mess. It dropped completely, what with travelling over in the car and then sleeping on it last night. I hope Amelia can fix it up. And my goodness it is bloody freezing here!!! And windy
Not good for the hair. Hopefully I won’t have to be out in the wind at all. Kathy is going to drive us to the comp, she’s so good.
Righto everyone, well I will see you on the other side!!
Well here we are looking decidedly unglam, half tanned and buggered. God look at the bags under my eyes – well both of us actually! I am now off to bed to see if I can get a decent night’s shut eye so I don’t feel like a zombie. Schedule for tomorrow – coffee, hair at 10.30am, pack car and off we go. First job when I get there, find my dream cake for dinner. Yep, we are having cake. Cake and a red wine for me. Bit of sugar, fat and alcohol to get the glycogen into the muscles and the veins pumping. Plus it will give me something to look forward to! I am sure I will get a few looks walking around with ultra dark skin and porn star hair.
Wonder if I will lose any more lbs overnight, don’t think it will be much if I do. Back to 2 litres tomorrow so must be stingy with the water.
Will check in again tomorrow.
These stimulants in the H20 Lean are playing havoc with my sleep. I had another really bad night’s sleep and I am so tired now, but still wired. So not going to have my lunchtime dose of H20 Lean and just do morning. I actually was feeling a bit ill just before. I lost 4lb overnight! Was 106.4lb this morning which is only a measly little .6lb off my 2006 comp weight.
I have had 2 lots of spray tans so far (double coats). One more to go. I hope it’s going to be dark enough, I don’t really even know how dark I need to be.
Off to gym in an hour to meet Nadia and practise posing. Tried sleeping before but it wouldn’t happen so now need to go and try again!
Kathy – full shave down. Legs, arms, abs, back – yes back, you know the little layer of fine hair you have down there – it’s gotta go! Or the tan sits on top of it otherwise. I’m a bit hungry – looking forward to a bowl of oats tonight, but only have one other meal left.
Hubby has gone to get the rest of the grocery supplies – I can’t go out looking like a freak
You people are too kind. Thanks girls, yes I did like the colour of this outfit, I had most of my photos taken in that. The colour goes great with the dark tan.
Well, I have had a huge day. Up at 4.30am and did not sleep this arvo, I think my H2O Lean was keeping me awake. One day without salt and it works like a charm. I lost like 1.5kg already. I walked to the gym, trained lightly, and walked home. My heart rate was going flat out for some reason. I then met Jodie for a coffee and catch up, she has 6 weeks to go! She gave me some gorgeous perfume for my birthday. I then picked up some Marshmellow Fluff and Muesli Clusters or whatever you call them from Coles. Yep, I had this brainwave – the marshmellow stuff (it is basically soft marshmellow spread) is pure sugar, and goes GREAT with peanut butter. It’s a yank thing, my ex (who is American) introduced me to it. I found it in Coles one day and kept it in mind
It’s the only time in the world I would ever contemplating eating it. So I will mix up peanut butter, the marshmellow and the clusters and put in little containers – this will form part of my meals for Sunday. I will also do pb and fig jam, another favourite. Plus some Tiramisu chockie for good measure (thanks Kathy!). Only small servings of all, just enough to give me a bit of a sugar pump. I was wandering around Coles with my arms folded and passed a guy who said as he walked by ‘check out the muscles on that!’ – so at least someone noticed something! My veins starting popping a bit tonight so that is a good sign. Another excellent day food wise and control wise. Felt good. I am now starting to enjoy things!
I stuffed up our carb load figures and luckily, thanks to my buddy Steve, he picked me up on my bad math! I had to call Nadia in Melbourne and go over her diet with her to make sure we had it right. Thank goodness we got it before we started.
Tomorrow starts with a full body shave! Then tan number 1 of 3 for the day. After tan 2 I am meeting Nadia at the gym to practise our routines and posing. The gym has put up a GOOD LUCK banner for Nadia and I which I thought was lovely!
I am just buggered, so will be off to bed now and hoping I sleep in until 7!
Thanks again everyone for taking the time to pop in and say hi! Love ya’s all!
Well after a disastrous day yesterday today has been awesome. If only they were all like this – or even 50% of them!! It wasn’t total disaster, perhaps torturous may be a better description! I had 8 meals. 4 in succession. It was insane. My hunger/need to eat was so great, it comes on so suddenly, along with the foggy head and sleepiness. I was exhausted. I know it’s my adrenals. I am loading sea salt like crazy, I actually dip my food into it. It’s like a drug, I almost feel a surge of…something…when I have my salt hit. I slept after I ate, and woke up so groggy and just like a washed out rag for the rest of the day. I wanted to cry I felt so awful. Just so over it!!! Then today, I feel great! I have been TOTALLY in control the entire time, no cravings, a little hunger yes, but it’s controllable. Today I walked for cardio, I can’t do anything of any more effort at the moment or it will send me into another downhill spiral. I thought I would then have breaky and go train and get all my exercise out of the way because afternoons are a disaster for me energy wise. It seemed to work for me – or something did anyway. So I will do the same tomorow. Last day of exercise tomorrow!! Yippee!!
I am all bloated and yukky because I’m so waterlogged and full of salt. This is what we want though. Tomorrow no salt
( I will probably feel worse tomorrow because I am starting a slight carb load. That combined with the water won’t be nice. By Friday I should start looking and feeling a little better.
I started to pack my bag. I bought a few supplies today. Peanut Butter and fig jam. Rice cakes. I actually discovered Cadbury Tiramisu chocolate (yeah I don’t get down the chocolate aisle much) and put that in my trolley but then as I was walking to the check out decided to ditch it. Too risky
I will buy my chocolate on Saturday. Anyone know where I can buy milk choc coated coffee beans in Adelaide? Haigh’s only have dark choc apparently. I have found my backstage grog – decided against scotch this time, I don’t even like it. Port is the go apparently, so I found a bottle of opened De Bortoli Black Noble dessert wine – how good will this go with my choc coated coffee beans. Ok, making myself hungry. I’ve been food fantasizing the last couple of nights.
So, tomorrow I am looking forward to some carbs for sure but not the no salt! Can’t have it all – until Sunday evening!
Time to go relax, and cook my salmon for dinner.
