Well the scales have moved again, and I’m down to the 110′s now (110.8). Minus 2lb for the boobs and my real weight is 108.8! I’m such a bloody lightweight
Never mind, just have to work with what I have and do what I can.
I’m trying to book in for some photos for my birthday, the big 40 which is about 3.5 weeks away (not that I’m counting). I figure it would be kind of cool to have some photos done on my birthday, in the best shape of my life. I will do a bit of a water and salt depletion prior to that as a bit of a test. I’m not entering the Adelaide show until 2 weeks out. I’ve got to make an improvement on my last show and I should, but again, not making set plans until I am sure. I could probably do the Melbourne show in 3 weeks and be in similar condition as I was for the 2006 show (pic below)
but I need to improve on that. And so I should start practising my posing and re-learn my routine again I suppose. I better check my tanning supplies too.
Ok, better get moving, time for cardio number 1. I had a low carb day yesterday, might do another today, I think I can manage it.
Don’t forget to buy the Women’s Health & Fitness mag that’s out on Monday – featuring Liz Bickerton as the Body Blitz Grand Champion!

Hey Sue
Great to see you’re coming down on the scales. 2lbs for the boobs…if only…mine are like 2 ounces…he…he..
Yeah, the big 40…it’s definitely the best excuse for professional pics, and I’m glad I did it. Same sought of thinking…best shape of my life, so may as well celebrate! I’m sure you’re going to look fab for the photos. You already do!
Ciao for now
Woohoo! Go the 110′s! Nice work Sue! Definitely think the idea of photos is great! Can’t wait to see them
xoxo
Hi Sue,
I dreamt about you eating avocado and gaining 9lbs and pulling out of the comp so I was very releived to see this post. Keep it up.
Love Kerry
WOW! I hope and dream that I look THAT good on my 40th birthday! Your very inspiring Sue : ) I don’t know if I’ll ever be up to competition standard such as yourself but it’s very motivating to read your blog and see your pics – it really does show just what it takes to compete as well.
Best wishes & god bless : )
Hi Sue
How lucky are we to have someone so motivated, honest and inpirational to lead us to our individual goals!
I really enjoy reading how you are ‘honestly’ feeling as you prepare for your comps. It’s terrific that the scales dropped for you too.
Photos for the big birthday sounds great – 40s the new 30! LOL!
Cheers Kath x
Hi Sue, I think you are such an inspiration! I have been following your progress and training through your blog and find it so interesting. When you comment so honestly about how you feel about your training….you touch the hearts of the average exerciser. And yes, its never easy but you have proved that it is achieveabile if you put your mind to it. Love seeing the progress photos, Keep up the great work and I look forward to the end result. P>S> you have unknowingly keep me on track with my personal training of trying to kick a goal on the last 4 kgs. Go girl!!!!
