Yeah, Twitter:

I’m not totally sold on it yet, probably just another time waster, but, I’m told it’s the next big thing to land on the web.  So, ‘follow me’ if you like.  I warn you, I’ll probably bore the socks off you.

So things have been just ticking along.  No real progress to report.  It’s very weird.  I’m very frickin’ hungry.   I really find the whole somatype (body type) thing very interesting.  I reckon I am a cross between an ecto(morph) and an endo(morph) – probably the worst combo you can get!  Ecto’s have trouble building and holding muscle, and endo’s have stubborn fat and need lots of cardio.  So a bit of a contradiction.  Basically I have to lift heavy and hard, shorter sessions, to build/maintain muscle (recommended for an ecto, yet higher reps, less rest and less overall weight training is recommended for endos).  I also need to cardio my ass off (literally) – combination of intervals and long moderate intensity sessions – again, not recommended for ecto’s, but recommended for endo’s!  Bloody confusing body!  Never mind, will keep ticking away and see how I turn out!

I did some cardio this morning with Damo, and this evening I trained shoulders and biceps.  I love training shoulders, hate training biceps.  Anyone else with me there?

It’s busied up what with our recent super duper special so Kristin and I have been head down bum up again.  I managed to update our photo gallery today, please, go check out the awesome transformations we are having!

Off to Adelaide on Saturday and Sunday with some friends – hi Trav and Renee :)   I will be taking my microwave with me as we couldn’t find any apartment accommo.  I will spend most of the time training, and sleeping probably.  I hope to meet up with the lovely Kathy while there.

Well, getting very tired easily of late.  My carbs and calories are pretty low.  On Saturday I will have a carb up day – this time will do carbs (30g) in 5 meals, and halve my protein portions, and have a normal protein meal for meal 6.

Over and out, time to vegetate.

  • Hey Sue, just looked at your blog and see that you’re coming to Adelaide on the weekend, I would so love to catch up if you have the time? Are you going to the health Expo or just training? I hope yopu have the time for a catch up as I’ve been wanting to meet you face to face for a very long time, so please let me know if you can. Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thanx Mel.

  • Hey Sue, what a total dummy I am!! After all this time I have only just noticed that there is a spot where you can leave a comment on your blog! Seriously can I blame this on peri-menopause too (blaming lots of other dumb stuff lately on that) I have enjoyed your blogs immensely and most times have been able to relate completely to the tiredness/hungryness(?) and confusion with the body’s sometimes unwillingness to respond to all the hard work! I know you have dramas with Adrenal Exhaustion and it seems that my CFS has been rearing its ugly head of late too. At the moment I am experimenting a bit with just doing a day of weights and then a day of cardio (no longer able to do both on the same day). In fact have noticed that if I do cardio first thing (which is what I prefer) I am too buggered for weights later on so at the moment and making resistance training my priority. So hard when I love my walks and runs and RPM classes etc. Have to listen to the body though hey! Well sorry I have gone on a bit – just wanted to you to know that I am always interested to read what is going on with you, your latest challenges and achievements and appreciate all your words of wisdom. Have a great weekend in Adelaide.
