We all know the first one – doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Well here’s the second one – getting up at frickin’ 2.30am after 3 hours sleep. To make it worse, my internet was down. So I rang the cable people at 3.30
Bugger them, it was down last week for a whole day. It’s working a little now, but so slow it’s worse than dial up. I’m over it.
Anyway, so I’m to meet Nadia at 8am for posing training – I will be a right old mess by then! I have to do my cardio first though. I trained 3 days in a row the last 3 days, playing catch up training from my trip away. I was feeling a bit tired yesterday, I had a decent night’s sleep the night before last, and then also after training I fell in a hole and needed another good sleep. I was tired again by evening, but of course waking up at 2.30 won’t help things today. Dieting for a comp really does mess up your sleeping patterns. It’s the low carbs, has happened to me many times before. The other thing you have to deal with is the hunger – you are awake for so many additional hours! But, to be honest, I haven’t really even been that hungry.
For some reason my neck is so sore! Like muscular sore, and it hurts all over to touch. I have no idea what I have done to make it that sore. My knee has it’s ups and downs – overall is doing much better. I squatted on my own the other day and decided to do higher reps (for me that is reps of 10!!) and did 50kg at that weight for 3 sets, followed by some bodyweight Bulgarian split squats and walking lunges. Followed with heavy Romanian deadlifts, Swiss ball bridges into curls, ”butt crunchers” and pull throughs and finished off with a set of DB Swings. It wasn’t a huge workout (kind of haphazard) but my quads got really really sore because they have been neglected a bit due to this injury.
My weight and body fat is dropping slowly still so that is good. I’m now into the 112′s, and have a 6 pack, just 7mm on my abs now, so need to lose another few there. I have veins now – I will never be overly vascular but it’s nice to see a few here and there. I will probably have a carb up day soon – maybe even today if I can get my sh*t together and put my figures into Calorie King. I think my body needs a boost. Might do that now in fact.
