Who would have thought! My knees were feeling a little sore, but TP brought some knee wraps for me. Well, you learn something every day – I didn’t realise how much wearing these things would help increase the weight lifted! They felt so weird, like I had springs for knees! Quite uncomfortable to start with, but, they gave me confidence because I had that support. So ladies and gents, today I squatted 70kg for 3 sets of 5. TP was very happy with me
I finished off with a drop set, 60kg for about 8 I think, then 40kg for 12. I was pretty happy with my effort and very pleased that my quads finally got a workout! I followed that with Lumberjack Squats with 40kg (also an improvement of 5kg) and seated ham curls. I can’t lunge at the moment so only those two squat exercises for quads today. I iced my knee as usual when I got home but it still felt pretty good. I have a physio session tomorrow, and will make sure I do some more foam rolling as I did it before I trained and man there is some deep soreness and knots in my quads.
I did my cardio this morning, walk/jog, 50 mins. I will probably do another 30 mins tonight at some point. Thankfully the weather has cooled down somewhat.
This week I will be announcing the New YOU winner and runner up – stay tuned!

Way to go with your squats, that’s just great!
