Awesome weather

This weather makes me feel fantastic – it’s such a different feel to dreary winter!  I have been out getting some sun for the last 3 days.  Just between 30-60 mins each time.  I’m already looking quite tanned.  Tonight was just so warm, we had to take advantage of it and have dinner al fresco.  We went to the Pizza Cafe and I was very good, just a glass of chardy and a Barramundi Salad.  I also had half a slice of hubby’s pizza.  You know, when you actually allow yourself to have anything you want, you don’t often want it.

Training has been great, am really enjoying it.  I have a TP at the moment so I am being pushed a bit which I like a lot.  Was due for a leg workout yesterday however I pulled up very sore from deadlifting and then sprinting 2 days later, so decided to work chest and do some direct arm work which I haven’t done in ages.  Consequently, I have very sore triceps!  I am meant to do the leg workout tomorrow but my glute/hammie/groin is STILL sore so I am not sure what to do.

I have been doing some sort of cardio every day.  The weather is just too nice.  Still not been swooped by maggies yet – I am hoping they decided to nest in trees away from my walking track!   I got my bike out the other day, rode down to the ovals and did some sprints (can’t remember if I wrote that in my previous blog, can’t be bothered checking).

Not long til I go to Qld, can’t wait.  I need some chill out time.  And some shopping time.

Tomorrow I will do some cardio in the morning, provided it’s ok outside, it’s pretty windy and horrible right now.  Otherwise I will go to the gym and do it.

Work is pretty busy, that time of year when people start to realise they have to start taking off some of the layers.  I have a list of things I have to do tomorrow (I got through half my list today).  Then by Monday I will be caught up.

Time for bed.

Been awhile since I wrote again!  The time just goes – and when I get a break I try and stay away from the computer.  I actually try not to work too much on the weekends these days – it’s a weird feeling :)

Had a lovely day today – it was a great day when I woke up, nice and sunny.  I had my coffee, supplements and off I went to the gym to do a short interval cardio session, and some abs.  I had a hair appointment at 9.30am so came home had a quick breakfast, then off for 3.5 hours of ‘pampering’.  I really did need to have my hair done, it was getting quite revolting.  Jodie and I then caught up for a walk and some stair work, after she finished work.

I booked my Gold Coast accommodation yesterday, got an absolute bargain.  Have passed the info on to Carolyn so she is booking an apartment there as well.  We were going to share but at this price we decided to have one each!  It’s in Broadbeach, which in my opinion, is 100 times better than Surfers Paradise.

I’ve also been studying up on Mexico accommodation.  I cannot wait!!!  For some reason when I say Mexico, people think we are going to Tijuana for a holiday :)   NOT!!!  I’m talking Puerta Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun and Playa Del Carmen.   We plan to catch the ferry and visit Cozumel again, rent a jeep and go exploring (like we did on our honeymoon).  The ferry goes from Playa Del Carmen.  I found this charming little boutique hotel on the beach (like sand 25 m from your room!) in Playa Del Carmen.  Only 20 rooms.   In Cancun we are going all out and doing the ‘all inclusive’ resort thing – ie all food, drinks etc are included in your room price.  It’s very bloody exy (and very flash!) but only for 3 nights and I figure it will be well worth it.   The other places we visit while on the Sapphire Princess.  So, haven’t booke anything yet but have decided and just waiting on confirmation of availability.

Training has been going great, really enjoying it.  I deadlifted (regular, power deadlifts) 80kg for 5 sets of 4 yesterday which I was pretty happy with as that is not far off my PB.  I think PB is either 82.5kg or 85kg for 1-2 reps.  I wish I could remember!  Well I’ll just have to get 90kg next week when I have to do 12 sets of 2 – then I will be sure that is a PB.  I also squatted 50kg for 10 (actually it was a drop set – 50kg, 40kg, 30kg for 10 reps each – x 2).  Was also pretty happy with that, as I haven’t really squatted much in the last 9 months due to my hip/lower back issues.  Speaking of lower back, I am very sore today!!

We finally were able to get a copy of the Underbelly series on dvd.  We watched them all within about 3 or 4 days.  I was glued to the screen – loved it.  I find it fascinating, plus it was quite amusing at times too!

Ok well I think it’s time to pack this away and head to bed.  I am going to do some cardio first thing (haven’t come across any magpies yet but I better wear my cap just in case), and, will train in the arvo – can’t remember what I am training, upper body of some description.  Oh yeah I know, Military Presses supersetted with chin ups to start with.

Well here I am awake at 3.30am.  Definitely not enough zzz’s for me to function during the day, particularly as I have a cardio session, training session and then a coffee with mum and sis.  So I shall have a quite bite to eat and be off to bed once more, hoping I will sleep in until about 9am.  I missed my chiro appointment last week – whoops.  So I had a massage instead.  Now, it always seems to happen – the next day I wake up with all sorts of cricks and pain.  I bent over and pulled some thing in my back so that is giving me some trouble, and this morning I woke up with a crick in my left side neck!  This getting older is not good for body maintenance!

Hi Ali, it was lovely to get your message!  I see you are making some great inroads into your health, which was wonderful to read!  A huge diet change for you!

Hi Doris, been some time since we ‘spoke’ – I hope you are well!

Hils, thanks for stopping by – crack open that Moet – who needs to wait for a special occasion!!

Zeets – great to hear from you!  I think you are in the next edition of Oxygen!

Congratulations to my past client, Body Blitz winner, and now good friend, Lisa Vaughan, who competed for the first time yesterday and did her self proud with a 2nd placing and best routine trophy.   Well done Lis, am very proud of you and I can’t wait to see some pics.  A great warm up for the next comp.

Go Ideal Bodies Online – churning out the winners!

Now other very exciting news is that apparently 2 winners of the Body Blitz have been announced for the October edition.  And BOTH of them achieved their results through a Full Support Program with Ideal Bodies Online!!  Liz, as I have mentioned, and Tanya D, who finished up with a lovely figure competitor body.  I’ll be dedicating a page to all my Body Blitz winners over the years very soon.  Congratulations Tanya.  You can view her pics in our gallery.

Ok, time for some shut eye.

Time for a little Moet!

I’ve had a great day – been a little off and had a bit of a meltdown a few days ago, but thankfully my mind is in a much better place now.  I know I’m supposed to be the ‘guru’ but I have issues I need to work on too – and I know my clients are happy to hear that, nothing worse than putting forth a fake exterior!

So, I had some wonderful news today, the lovely Liz Bickerton has been named equal winner for the October Body Blitz!  Well done Liz – in my eyes it was not even a contest – without even laying eyes on the competition!  Liz lost an unbelievable 21kg in 12 weeks, doing LESS training than she has ever done before!  You can see Liz on our home page and in our gallery and you can also listen to her audio testimonial as well.  So anyway, that’s my excuse for a glass of Moet – that and I feel like one.  I have a lovely bottle of it as a gift from my web guy.  How nice is that.

Business is ticking along nicely – it was looking like a quiet week and then it became very busy!

Trained early this morning – I woke at 4am, which was a bit of a bugger, so trained at 6.30am.  Legs – BB Back/Forward Lunges, BB Step Ups (I’m good at these courtesy of stairs in our house), Single Leg Romanian Deadlifts, and BB Lateral Squats.  Tonight I did 20 mins of HIIT on the tready.

We paid for the balance of our Princess Cruise today.  It’s only 11 weeks away!  I so cannot wait to go to Mexico and laze on the beaches!  And shop and eat Mexican and drink real Margaritas!  With salt thanks!

Off to watch a 9/11 documentary on Austar.
