Jetsetting off again tomorrow!

I am soooooooooooooooooooo drained!  I was meant to do cardio and train today but I’ve done neither.  I went to bed instead!  I am downing the sea salt like it’s going out of fashion and my appetite is voracious.  All signs pointing to burn out if I don’t rest.

Man, I have been working my butt off these last few weeks, and thankfully, it IS all coming together.  It’s amazing what you can get done when you have a deadline.  Thanks to my wonderful graphics designer (whose brain is also fried!) we have managed to get 8 new programs together, all very professionally designed and laid out.

I have yet to pack for the Brissie trip – just come home from getting my spray tan and having a bite to eat now.  Did start some ironing and packing while the Dell man was here fixing my noisy fan in my computer, but didn’t get far.

I can’t wait to meet Shelly tomorrow, her and Nate are kindly picking me up at the airport.  I really should train tomorrow, but I will definitely see how I feel, not much point working myself into the ground, plus I have to look nice and fresh for the tv cameras, don’t want to look like a washed out rag!  So, Friday I plan to do as little as possible on my computer.  I would like to do some cardio (shopping) but it will depend if I feel like I am up to date with everything.  Saturday morning I have the beautifying session – hair, and make up – and then the tv crew arrives!   Then Carolyn has her hair and make up done, and off we all troop to the comp!  Carolyn is looking amazing – she’s over the whole thing, it does get like that, but not long to go now!

That’s about it, will say hi from Brissie if I get time!!   Hoping to get to bed by 9.30pm so I better get back to packing, as I have a couple of things to tidy up here too.

Look forward to catching up with a few people at the comp!

Back home, but with some lovely memories!

I need COFFEE!!

Got up at 4am this morning, let’s say I’m feeling a bit haggard, but, pepping up now I have had my first shot of caffiene.  Every morning we are first down to have a coffee – surprisingly.  It opens at 6.30am and we have had to wait every day except yesterday – big sleep in, got up at 7am.  It’s just lovely here, so peaceful and relaxing.  I had a very decadent spa treatment on Wednesday – a resurfacing facial and a full body massage.  I almost went to sleep a few times.

Dinner revisited

We were invited back to Far Horizons at the Angsana Resort for dinner last night, and let me say this time it was magnificent.  I won’t tell what I ate :)   I am meant to be prepping I know.  It wasn’t too overboard, portion sizes under control, but not exactly comp food!  I’m keeping a close eye on my weight and skin folds.

I caught up with the lovely Kristin again yesterday, we trained at the Novotel gym, I think it’s about 500 years old (the equipment anyway) but we managed.  I sold her on the lifting hooks, I’m sure her back workouts will improve markedly now.  We then went through a little more IBO stuff before we bid farewell and then she sent me a lovely text message on her way home – that was quite obviously meant for her boyfriend and not me :) hehe.

Brisbane Trip 16th May

I am SO looking forward to next weekend and meeting up with Hils, Shell, Eleni, Doris, Kellie, Zeets, Selina, and anyone else who is coming along!  I have a backstage pass organised even though I am not Carolyn’s official helper.  I just want to get some great photos!  We have dinner after the show, and we have our IBO photo shoot on Sunday at midday.  2 days in a row I will be having hair and makeup done.  Could think of worse things!!  At least I shouldn’t have frizzy hair.

I wouldn’t trade my ‘job’ for the world, loving it!  We have some really exciting things happening to the site, a lot of it is background stuff that we are working on, but I have a wonderful web guy who is very knowledgeable in the web marketing department and we are putting lots of things in motion.

NEW Training and Diet Journals

I will shortly have some Ideal Bodies Online Training and Diet Journals available.  These are awesome little journals to record food and water intake, training notes, pictures, thoughts/feelings etc.   They will retail for $34.95 in our store, and will be an invaluable addition for your 12 week journey!  If you would like to pre-order, please email me through the site.

Carolyn Gerdtz

Just a final word on, and to, Carolyn.  She is looking amazing and feeling amazing – if somewhat over the dieting thing which is pretty normal.  We have ‘spoken’ almost every day for about the last 2-3 weeks, fine tuning and tweaking her diet and training often.   She had some nice days where she was able to eat lots of carbs, and each day her diet has been different which has kept her interested.  We’ve always interacted and talked things through which I feel is very important in getting the best out of someone.  She said she hasn’t felt deprived at all, and has actually enjoyed the process!  She has done exceptionally well following my ‘orders’ and I take my hat off to you Carolyn Gerdtz – you are an absolute champion and I am so proud of your achievements.  I am sure I will have tears in my eyes and hairs standing up on the back of my neck as I watch you stand tall and proud on stage on Saturday.  You will have an amazing bunch of people behind you cheering you on.

From gorgeous Palm Cove

We are now in Palm Cove and wow, what a place!  I think it’s almost taken over my previous favourite of Noosa!  The place we are staying, the Sea Temple Resort & Spa is new, and is just magnificent.  Tall gum trees are studded throughout the resort, with a lagoon pool, a lap pool, a bar and restaurant and lush gardens throughout.  It’s not busy, only ever a few people around the pool.  The apartments are awesome, with a balcony and day bed, plasma tvs, huge kitchen, and all the mod cons.  A 50m walk past the lap pool will take you to the beach.  I completely recommend this spot for a relaxing holiday!  I have managed to sit out by the pool for about an hour each day and get some sun, and a swim.  The weather has also been very kind, nice and warm, today I got a bit sunburnt!

Tonight we went to dinner at the resort next door, the Angsana – magnificent location, tables out on a deck, alfresco, with a wall of palm trees out front and looking on to the ocean.  The meal was extremely disappointing!  My medium rare eye fillet medallions were medium to well done and I wasn’t impressed at $45 for the dish!!!  Damien’s steak was also overcooked.

I managed to do a spot of shopping before we left Cairns – spent my Sussans birthday voucher on a fluffy dressing gown, slippers, and pj’s, bought another big metallic handbag, a lovely cream jacket for the cold weather, and a singlet and 2 pairs of pants at Lorna Jane.

Trained at the Palm Cove Novotel today – let’s just say I had to do a lot of improvising!  Managed a good shoulder and arm workout though.  Walking every morning along beachfront.

Very busy with getting my website ready – there will be lots of changes.  I have to leave all this in the hands of my web guy, lucky I have a good one who knows what he’s doing. I can’t go into details but, let’s just say I need a project manager!  So many things going on and needing to be co-ordinated.  Tomorrow I should hear from tv re when they are going to interview me – it could be in Brisbane, or, now it’s looking like they may come to Mildura.

Tonight I have crashed, had a sleep mid afternoon, woke up feeling blah and flat. I am not doing any work tonight, time to relax and forget about it for the moment.  My appetite has been ferocious the last couple of days.

I have been meaning to write for so long but it just hasn’t happened!  Things are more frantic than usual and I am supposed to be on ‘holidays’!  Let’s see, what’s been happening…

I’ve been training 2-3 x day, and losing some pounds, starting to get striated shoulders and chest and veins are starting to appear.

We began our ‘holiday’ and drove to Adelaide and watched Jason Alexander’s Comedy Spectacular on Monday night – that was pretty funny, particularly the bit he did on cricket – and it being a bit ‘gay’ (‘not that there’s anything wrong with that’ – if you are a Seinfeld fan you’ll know).  Packing and preparing food for the car trip, and flights the next day was rather arduous!  I managed.  I did cardio and trained before I left.  I got all of 3.5 hours sleep the night before.  I have been sleeping pretty badly, last night was the first decent sleep I had.  I simply have so much to think about with some H U G E news we received last week.  Since then things have been all go.

Things have been going splendidly with training Kristin – she is a gem and this is nice timing.  Cairns has been wonderful though I haven’t had much in the way of relaxation time.  My cardios have been walks on the esplanade every morning which is lovely.  We are heading off to the Sea Temple at Palm Cove tomorrow – this place looks amazing – can’t wait to live like the rich and famous for a week.  I have loads of work to do so it’s not so much a holiday as a change of scenery – but it will be nice scenery!

Stay tuned for some web site changes and more!
