Nice relaxing weekend.
Work has quieted down a bit now, such that I can actually have almost a full weekend off. How nice is that, to feel ‘normal’ again. I really must do something about this, I can see where all my stress is coming from.
Squatted on Thursday but not close to PB because my training partner was late so I had no spotter. On Friday I really felt flat, I didn’t get enough sleep and had to sleep twice during the day.
Thankfully I only had two programs to do so I wasn’t under any work pressure. I really had no motivation and actually felt a bit sick in the stomach. I missed a training session, which does not happen very often at all.
However, instead of getting down on myself I decided to think about the good things that I did – for example, I ate very clean and light and I went for a walk in the evening, as well as getting my programs done so my work was up to date. Woke up Saturday feeling great, and had a good session with Jodie at 8am.
Trained Hammies, Chest & Triceps
It was great training at that time.
We trained hammies, chest and triceps, and I finished off with some abs too.
2 sets of 12-15 on the ab wheel, plus some swiss ball crunches and medicine ball oblique twists were enough to get my abs sore. It’s the ab wheel that does it!
I could barely do a few of these when I first started, without feeling like my back would break. I did a PB on DB pullovers – at the end of my chest workout so was fatigued, and managed a set of 8 with 25kg DB.
Today we did some walking and stairs for about 50 mins. Tomorrow I train shoulders and back in the morning. I will have to cardio in the evening as I have a dentist appointment tomorrow I think there is going to be a needle involved.
1st Christmas Gift Purchased!
I even bought my first Christmas present today. We finally put up our tree too, except Damien somehow managed to ‘break’ one set of lights so they don’t work anymore.
I started my jigsaw! It’s huge!
Damien bought a big (almost same size as our dining table!) piece of board for me to put it on, and I thought I would have only needed half the space, but no, I will need the whole thing! \
Nearly done the border and when I’m finished that I’m not quite sure where to start! I am finding it nice and relaxing.
Well, not really, but a few days off.
On Christmas day, after lunch at my mum’s we will travel to Pinnaroo to Damien’s sis’ place for dinner.
Stay there the night, and then next night we’ve booked into McCracken Country Club at Victor Harbor in SA, and then will go to Adelaide for the following 2 nights, staying at Sebel Playford.
Will get home in time for New Year, not that we really ever do anything. New Year is always pretty ho hum.
After Christmas it’s like ‘whatever’! I’m looking forward to some cardio on the beach at Victor, and just general relaxation time.
Over and out, time for 20 mins of reading before I hit the sack.
