40 Days to a Flat Belly

I sit all day behind a desk in a sedentary office job and that’s not good! I have been a weekend walker and maybe 2 or 3 times a week will walk after work. But it has not really been enough. I had all the excuses – I’m ‘old’, I have bad knees, not enough time in the day (I do but without that weight now it seems so much easier?), oh and you only live once!
My daughter Katelyn is a health enthusiast. She trains every morning and some nights, and eats very healthy. I would lie in bed in the mornings and hear her get up to go training. I was so tired and didn’t want to get up.
Then one day recently I looked in the mirror while getting dressed to go walking and thought “God I look pregnant!” I weighed myself at 82.9kg. I asked Katelyn for help with a plan and to keep me on track but she said to me “mum you can do this.”

I saw Sue Heintze and the 40 Day Max Fat Burn program on the TV the night before. I got straight online, bought the program and downloaded all the information onto my peg. I printed out what I needed and I carried it with me everywhere.
The first week was a challenge. I was sore and I ached and I struggled with some exercises. My daughter Katelyn was on hand to keep me going and with using the alternatives but the 40 Day MAX Fat Burn support group can also help with that. We exercise on our back patio early in the morning as I do not have a gym membership. Kate has a treadmill and light weights, medi ball etc. and I take the dogs walking on my moderate cardio days. Even they have never been fitter!
It took nearly 3 weeks before I really saw results, and when I took my photo comparison at the halfway point, it was definitely a ‘WOW!’ moment. The difference in my stomach was incredible! No longer did I look pregnant!

That first 3 kilos I lost made me very happy, and then I tried not to weigh in until near the end – I think it was around 38 days. Katelyn said “Mum you are changing shape, let’s do your weight and measurements”. I found I had dropped over 6kg and was ecstatic. I feel better and sleep better and I’m not as embarrassed about my body as I used to be (even in front of my husband).
I will keep going with this challenge and once I reach my goal weight (I would love to be around 70 kgs) I will keep it as l my guide to a healthier lifestyle.
